What’s on Our Menu

Salt of the Earth has been making delicious, nourishing meals for an exclusive list of clients in Austin for over a decade. As a premium meal service, our focus is on using great ingredients with integrity and care.

We do our best to cook with pastured meats, dairy, and eggs, buy great pantry staples like olive oil and salt, local and seasonal produce, and organic options as well. Our food is very approachable and we offer a diverse rotating menu. Our goal is for everything to taste like home, not like takeout.

  • Chef/Owner

    Chef Libbey Goldberg moved from the Bay Area and put her extensive experience with farm-to-table cooking at iconic restaraunts like Chez Panisse to good use. After a brief stint as the opening chef of Josephine House, she decided to focus on crafting beautiful meals for busy families. As a mother of two, she knows what it means to get dinner on the table and wanting it to be yummy and healthful at the same time!

  • Baker/Owner

    Sarah Stevens has been cooking professionally since graduation from UT-Austin in 1996. She tried her hand at desk jobs, but her heart has always been in the kitchen. She has worked in bakeries, restaurants, and catering companies all over Austin, most recently for June's All Day before joining Salt of the Earth. She, with Libbey's vital help, baked thousands of loaves of bread during the pandemic and raised more than $50,000 to help folks during that challenging time--something she feels very proud of.

  • Lead Cook

    Olena came on board with Salt of the Earth in late 2022, after meeting Libbey and Sarah while staying at a neighbor's house. Olena came to Austin after fleeing the war in Ukraine, leaving behind a new bakery she was opening. She is skilled and talented with both savory and sweet, operating a successful side business selling macarons and cakes. She's a true gem, and Salt of the Earth is lucky to have her on the team.

  • Deliveries

    Kerry is often the face you'll see when your food arrives, and we're so glad for it. Her combination of efficiency and warmth are a winning duo. In her nondelivery life, she is a skilled professional as well as a devoted mother of two terrific kids. She has been with Salt of the Earth for several years now, and has been pivotal in our ongoing growth and success.
